What is Urban Mommies?
Urban Mommies takes you on exclusive, privately-led museum tours, historical neighborhood and gallery walks and other cultural adventures throughout the city of Pittsburgh—all with your baby snuggled comfortably in his or her stroller.
Our tours educate you, bring variety to your
week and introduce you to a great group of moms.
When and where are the tours located?
Tours are located throughout the Pittsburgh area and surrounding locations. Check the Activities page for specific tour dates and times. Most tours last 60 minutes with optional time afterward for coffee or lunch (not included in the registration fee) and discussion.

What can I expect during a tour?
Each expert-led tour will provide
you with unique opportunities not available to the general public
to explore Pittsburgh's cultural and historic offerings. All
venues are stroller-friendly. You will stroll comfortably and
casually through each tour. You can expect a fun, educational
experience on every outing.
What do I do if my baby gets fussy?
Your child is your top priority. You can stop at any time to take care of your baby and catch up with the group later.
Can I bring more than one child?
Yes, as long as both children
will be comfortable in a stroller for the length of the tour
-- approximately an hour. Remember, Urban Mommies is all about
YOU, so no additional fees are involved if you have more than
one child.
What about parking in the city?
Many of the venues we work with offer free on-site parking or there is a paid garage nearby. Urban Mommies will not be held responsible for parking tickets or towed cars. Please read the signs when parking in Pittsburgh.
What happens if I miss a tour?
We recognize that babies are
unpredictable. Urban Mommies allows each participant to make
up one missed tour per package. The make-up must be scheduled
in advance and will depend on space availability in the desired
tour. Refunds are not available.
If tours are cancelled due to inclement weather conditions or emergency, you will be contacted by phone. The tour will be rescheduled at the discretion of Urban Mommies.
